Buckfast bees are known for their calm temperament and prolific honey production. This is what makes them a great choice for beginner beekeepers. The more honey you can produce per colony, the more value you are able to extract from each beehive.

Questions & Answers
What can I buy in your online bee shop?
You can order 6 frame National nucs and 5 frame Langstroth nucs of honey bees, plus mated F1 Buckfast, Carniolan, Carpathian and Italian queens.
How does paying for a nuc online work?
You pay a £60 deposit at checkout to reserve your nuc. One week before despatch we email you to request the balance. The full price for an over-wintered nuc is £290 plus £9.50 delivery.
Which queen heads your nucs?
Every nuc is headed by one of our F1 Buckfast queens, bred for a calm temperament and strong honey production.
Can I choose between an over-wintered nuc and a summer nuc?
Yes. On the 6 frame National nuc you can choose an over-wintered colony for April delivery or a summer colony for mid-June delivery.
Is buying bees online safe for the bees?
Yes. We move each colony into its travel box only hours before shipping, and send it by Royal Mail Special Delivery to arrive the next day.
Can I buy a queen online without a nuc?
Yes. Our mated queens are £32 each and delivery is £9.50 however many you order, which suits beekeepers requeening an existing colony.
